The fact is that eFiling is rapidly becoming a reality in state courts through the US, including California’s superior courts. Right now in California, eFiling is available in 15 courts but during 2017 it’s very likely that more than half of all of the state’s county-level courts, including massive cities like Los Angeles, will have active eFiling programs.
It’s time to start getting prepared
Therefore, it’s likely that — even if your local court isn’t imminently moving to eFiling — you’ll have to file somewhere that does require electronic delivery of court documents sometime in the not too distant future.
To ensure that the process is as smooth and successful as possible it pays to get prepared for eFiling sooner rather than later. eFiling is a bit of a learning curve if your office is currently set up with physical delivery of documents to the court window as your main method of getting filings completed.
